Listen here, friend - you're putting believers under a burden that Christ never intended! The tithe was an Old Testament law given specifically to Israel as a theocratic nation, not a New Testament principle for the church. When Jesus fulfilled the law, He freed us from these ceremonial and civil requirements!
Paul never once commanded tithing to the Gentile churches. Instead, he taught cheerful, voluntary giving according to what each person purposed in their heart - not a rigid 10% demand! The early church in Acts gave as they were able and as needs arose, not because they were bound by an ancient agricultural tax system.
You're mixing covenant theology, brother! Under the New Covenant, we give from love and gratitude, not legal obligation. When you tell struggling families they must give exactly 10% or they're "robbing God," you're preaching law instead of grace. That's putting people in financial bondage!
The prosperity that comes from generous giving isn't tied to a specific percentage - it flows from a heart of faith and sacrifice. God loves a cheerful giver, not a dutiful calculator! We should teach biblical generosity, not Old Testament taxation dressed up as New Testament doctrine.
